The Justice League Cast Explore the Team Dynamic On and Off the Screen
During a press conference before the release of Justice League, the cast and producers answered a question from Jenna Busch of ‘Coming Soon’ concerning what team-building exercises the cast participated in in preparation for the film.
Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg) started out by joking that all they did was play Parcheesi. In reality, all the team-building came from the cast always being together and hanging out between takes. Being around the different members of the cast and their different energies really helped to build the team dynamic in an organic way. Their relationship off screen is exactly what people are going to see in the film.
Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) adds that director Zack Snyder did a great job in casting the film and picking people he knew would be the best for each character and how they would all end up working together.
“And it’s been super easy. It’s been very natural. I mean, no hours at the psychologist sofa talking about each other. It’s been super fun and very easy.”
Producer Charles Roven then talked about some of the struggles of having a large cast, saying that he sometimes has to wonder how they’ll be able to get the actors to bond. But he says that they didn’t have to do anything to bring the Justice League cast together. It was a really simple process and he says that this is the easiest coming together of a group in any group movie he has ever been a part of.
Gadot concluded the question by saying that they even started a band in which Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne) would often sing in his deep Bruce Wayne voice. Affleck then gave a short, very Bruce rendition of “Jingle Bell Rock.”
Justice League opens in theaters November 17.
