Yesterday, we reported that actor Anton Yelchin was tragically killed in a car accident at his home, and while his fans and Hollywood continue to mourn the loss of the young star, none are doing so more than the cast and crew of Star Trek.

Karl Urban, who plays Bones, was the first to comment, tweeting “I can’t believe it, I m fckn hurting bad.”

Earlier today, the actor posted a photo to Instagram with the caption “Anton was such a beautiful , gentle soul . He sought out new life experience with an unabated passion. He was edgy , incredibly talented and beautifully knowledge . His smile was radiant and mischievous . Truly an old soul in a young man’s body . He was a loving son . My heart , thoughts and prayers are with Antons family. Im devastated. Godspeed you gorgeous man .” The photo is now his Twitter header.

John Cho (pictured above), was next to comment, first tweeting “I loved Anton Yelchin so much. He was a true artist – curious, beautiful, courageous. He was a great pal and a great son. I’m in ruins.”

He then tweeted, “Please send your love to Anton’s family right now. They need it.”

Zachary Quinto posted an Instagram photo with the heartfelt caption, “our dear friend. our comrade. our anton. one of the most open and intellectually curious people i have ever had the pleasure to know. so enormously talented and generous of heart. wise beyond his years. and gone before his time. all love and strength to his family at this impossible time of grief.”

Zoe Saldana, who celebrated her 38th birthday yesterday, tweeted this morning “Devastated by our friend’s loss. We are mourning his passing and celebrating the beautiful spirit that he was. #RIPAnton”

Simon Pegg’s official Twitter account simply tweeted this photo of Anton, which is also the header.

Alice Eve, who played Carol Marcus in Star Trek: Into Darkness, posted a photo of Anton playing guitar alongside co-star Chris Pine. “Anton making music, a beautiful mind as deep and as rich as any I have encountered. An artist. My thoughts are with his family and beautiful mother. Bless Anton Yelchin,” she captioned.

LeVar Burton, who played Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation, tweeted “OMG… Nooooo!,” along with an article of his death.

William Shatner tweeted, “Sad news for such a talented young man. Condolences to the family of Anton Yelchin.”

George Takei posted yet another touching, yet sorrowful tribute about a Star Trek cast member saying, “Our Star Trek family has lost one of its own. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

Justin Lin, director of Star Trek: Beyond, tweeted his disbelief over the actor’s death, saying “Still in shock. Rest in peace, Anton. Your work will live on with everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you.”

And finally, J.J. Abrams penned this heartbreaking note, which was posted on Bad Robot’s official Twitter:

Chris Pine has yet to comment on Anton’s passing, though understandably, he is in mourning and seems to be a very private person, so it is probably unlikely that he will do so for the time being.

Along with Star Trek: Beyond, Anton leaves behind several unreleased films and series, such as the animated series Trollhunters from Guillermo Del Toro, which is set to premiere in December, and Thoroughbred, a psychological thriller. Yelchin had also recently completed filming on the sci-fi drama Rememory, alongside Peter Dinklage. In addition, two of his indie films are waiting to be released: We Don’t Belong Here and Porto.
