New ‘Blade Runner 2049’ International Trailer Gives Us Tons of New Footage
It’s been a few months since the first trailer for Blade Runner 2049 hit the internet and visually blew our minds. On Tuesday, a brand new international trailer for the upcoming reboot was released and now we finally have some details regarding the plot for the upcoming film. Check out the action-packed international trailer below:
We learn a number of plot details from the new footage. Jared Leto plays Neander Wallace, the head of Wallace Corporations which producing genetically modified food items which are the main source of sustenance for the futuristic semi-apocalyptic world. Ryan Gosling plays Officer K, a LAPD agent who unearths a secret that has the potential to completely destroy all that is left of society. In an attempt to stop the catastrophe from happening, this discovery leads him to Rick Deckhard (Harrison Ford) who has been missing for 30 years. We still don’t know what the secret discovery is, how it will destroy society and how this all fits together but, man, this trailer has certainly got us intrigued!
In addition to Gosling, Ford, and Leto, the film also co-stars Dave Bautista, Lennie James, Robin Wright, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, and Carla Juri. Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) is on board to direct. Blade Runner 2049 will hit theaters on October 6, 2017.
