‘Blade Runner 2049’ Comes to Life with New Footage and Featurette

Sunday, June 25th, marks the 35th anniversary of the original 1982 Ridley Scott film, Blade Runner.  In honor of the original film and in celebration of the upcoming new film Blade Runner 2049, Warner Bros. Studios has released a brand new featurette for the new film.

The featurette is titled Time to Live and is a nearly four-minute look at the new film includes interviews from stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford and directors Ridley Scott and Denis Villeneuve as well as behind-the-scenes footage and some new scenes from the upcoming film.

Little is still known about the characters within the film, however, in the below featurette, we get our first look at The Walking Dead star Lennie James’ character and a glimpse of a statue that definitely resembles that of Dave Bautista.  The cinematography and special effects are incredible.  the film really looks like it is going to be beautiful.

Blade Runner 2049, the official logline from its trailer gives. us a little big of a plot line:

“Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.”

In addition to Gosling and Ford, James and Bautista the film also co-stars Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, and Carla Juri.  Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) is on board to direct.  Check out the explosive first trailer right HERE.
