Kick up your boots! Nominations for the 51st Annual CMA Awards have officially been announced and there is some pretty stiff competition going on in the 6 main categories.
On Monday morning, country music stars Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch and Brothers Osborne announced the nominees on Good Morning America for the main categories including the top two honors of New Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. Nominees for the additional categories were revealed later on in the day.
Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert top the list for most nominations with five each including going head-to-head against each other in the categories for Music Video of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year. Trailing just behind them is Little Big Town with four nominations including one for their hit song Better Man. Nominated for Song of the Year, Better Man also brings Taylor Swift back to her country roots and presents her with her first CMA nod in three years as the songwriter for the hit tune.
The CMA Awards will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the duos 10th time emceeing the night. The show will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 8th at 8 pm EST on ABC.
