The Kids Are Alright is an ensemble comedy set in the 1970s and follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family, the Clearys, as they navigate big and small changes during one of America’s most turbulent decade. The series is inspired by the childhood of writer/executive producer Tim Doyle, who also narrates in voiceover as older Timmy.
In addition to Cudlitz, The Kids Are Alright stars Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Martin Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken, and Santino Barnard.
McDermitt will be the second cameo appearance by an old Walking Dead buddy on the hit ABC series. Ross Marquand also voiced the role of a 70s radio DJ in an earlier episode this season.
