Nostalgia alert! It’s time to head back to camp because Disney Channel’s Bug Juice revival is hitting airwaves later this month.
Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp will air on July 16th at 7:30 pm EST on Disney Channel. The 16-part-docu-series will take you back to those wonderful days of summer camp as it follows the “outdoor fun, team activities, new friendships and the experience of being away from home.”
Disney Channel’s original Bug Juice aired for three seasons from 1998-2001 taking place at three different summer camps, but the revival will be returning to Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine where the first season was filmed.
Once again, the revival will chronicle the struggles of “trying to fit in, being homesick and the ups and downs of friendship.” Of course, this isn’t the ’90s anymore so Bug Juice will certainly have a bit of a technological facelift as well, including “animated emoticons, ‘boomerang’ shots, and on-screen memes punctuating the summertime adventures.”
Bug Juice is just one of the many shows Disney Channel has revived. The network rebooted Boy Meets World, That’s So Raven, and they have a live action Kim Possible movie in the works! Are you ready to head back to camp? Let us know!

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
