'Game of Thrones': Here's What Was in the Scroll That Arya Found

Sunday night’s Game of Thrones was filled with moments and turning points that are setting the stage for the rest of the season (which is only 2 more episodes) and for the rest of the series.   Some revelations were more apparent than others, like Cersei’s pregnancy announcement (do we think she’s really pregnant?)  and others were not as clear, like Gilly’s allusion to Jon Snow’s lineage and Arya discovering that note which was written by Sansa.  Just what was written on that scroll?

While the full contents (and ramifications) of the scroll will likely be revealed in the future episodes, we can take a closer look right now.  From what we can see, the scroll contains Sansa’s letter detailing King Robert’s death, someone trying to steal the crown and needing to pledge their loyalty to King Joffrey, a note which she was manipulated to write by Cersei in an earlier episode.  Little Finger was present for the whole event and even interjected his two cents during the ordeal.  Remember this scene?

Upon learning that a copy of all raven scrolls that were sent to King’s Landing have been kept safe, Little Finger’s ears perk up.  He retrieves the scroll which Sansa sent, pretty much against her will, with the full intent that Arya will find it.

Arya, who is seemingly already suspicious of her sister’s intentions, finds the letter which, according to Vanity Fair, says the following:

“Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark.”

While it’s unclear exactly what Little Finger’s intentions are regarding making sure Arya finds this scroll, we can guess that he views Arya as a threat.  Afterall, she pretty much is the most dangerous character on the entire series!  Could he be using the contents of the scroll to purposely create friction between the two sisters?  How will Arya react to finding this note which she thinks Sansa wrote on her own will?  If anyone else found it, Sansa could be accused of betraying her house and her family and being a Lannister supporter but will her sister take a different approach?  Little Finger has some serious leverage here just by possession the scroll, however, the smirk on his face after Arya retrieved it lets us know that he intended for the letter to end up in her hands.  Not to mention, amidst Jon Snow running for his life in the preview for next week’s episode, there are hints that tensions between the Stark sisters are definitely heating up.  Check it out:
