Game of Thrones official Twitter had the world buzzing this week with it’s veiled tweet of, “Winter is coming.” Fans are speculating what it means. Now, a Game of Thrones actor has officially backed the fan-movement to release the alternate ending to Season Eight of the HBO series.
Dean-Charles Chapman, who portrayed King Tommen Baratheon through Season Six of the series, was approached by TMZ on the street. When asked if the rumored alternate ending should be released, Chapman replied, “Absolutely. Yeah, why not?”
This new fan movement began when Kristofer Hivju, who portrayed Tormund Giantsbane, who was at the BFI, in an interview with Metro, said, “Well, we shot an alternative ending,” he said. “That was mostly for fun, but I don’t know if I’m allowed to tell you about that.”
A faction of fans have been frustrated with the ending of Game of Thrones and there have been calls to refilm the final season or to add a ninth season to give it a better ending.
