Elton John in talks to possibly join ‘Kingsman 2’
Just a few weeks ago, we got
news that music sensation Paul
McCartney would be joining the cast of Pirates of the
Caribbean in their upcoming
series film. Now, fans of Elton John may finds
themselves in for a treat, as
the pop icon is in talks about
the possibility of
joining the cast of the highly anticipated sequel
Kingsman: The Golden
Circle. Although no concrete details have been set for his potential
role,
his appearance in this
film alone would separate himself from his previous roles
in the film
industry. Most notably for his musical
accomplishments (including
winning an Oscar for his musical performances in
The Lion King) and his
various voiceovers.
Whether Elton John will be playing the role of a
gun
slinging hero, or a cameo
role as himself, this is exciting news for us Elton
John fans. If Elton John
is cast in the upcoming sequel,
the pop icon will be
joining a phenomenal cast that includes Taron Egerton,
Mark Strong Julianne
Moore,
Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal. It is also rumored that Colin Firth may be
returning for the sequel as
well.
Matthew Vaughn will be returning to
write and direct the film,
which 20th Century Fox has set a
release date for
June 16, 2017.
