Dwayne Johnson Confirms Arrival of Justice Society of America in ‘Black Adam’

In an interview with, Dwayne Johnson confirmed some major news for his upcoming film, Black Adam. The Justice Society of American will debut in the DC Universe in Black Adam.

According to the interview, Johnson said, “We’re also gonna introduce JSA in Black Adam,” Johnson said to Kevin Hart, who was sitting next to Johnson during an interview for Jumanji 2. “So in JSA maybe there’s a (role)…They have an animal, a pet.”

The Justice Society of America first made an appearance in the comics in 1940. The society that we are most familiar with was comprised of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and more. However, the original group was made up of the original members of the Justice Society of America were Doctor Fate, Hour-Man, the Spectre, the Sandman (Wesley Dodds), the Atom (Al Pratt), the Flash (Jay Garrick), Green Lantern (Alan Scott), and Hawkman (Carter Hall).

Any appearance of The Justice Society of America onscreen will be a remarkable feat for the DC Universe, as it will quickly expand the onscreen character possibilities, something it is currently way behind on versus Marvel. As a reminder, this is very different than Justice League, so it’s unlikely that we will see that incarnation return for Black Adam.
