Dolly Parton Wins the Internet by Sharing ‘Distracted Boyfriend’ Meme Inspired by Hit Song ‘Jolene’

It’s quite well known in the country music scene that the legendary artist Dolly Parton is one of the most genuinely positive people on the planet. If you need proof, just take a quick look at her social media pages.

Parton’s bubbly and fun personality shines through in everything she posts, like this little video when she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (two actually, which Dolly points out as she likes to do things in pairs).

Or this adorable way she threw some shade at any haters out there trying to pass on negativity to overpower her positiveness.

Or even this adorable Monday Motivation post where Parton puts it all in perspective with a quick quip.

Her social media game is clearly on-point which is why the internet was so appreciative this week when Parton posted the meme to end all memes.

In addition to exuding positivity at all times, Parton also frequently posts nostalgic lookbacks at her career. She’s had a ton of hits on the music charts, but one of her most beloved songs, without a doubt, is Jolene. Originally released in 1973, Jolene became Parton’s second solo number-one single on the country charts and has since been covered by some of the biggest names in the business (The White Stripes, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding and Miley Cyrus, just to name a few).

On Monday, Parton merged her iconic song with one of the biggest, most shared memes of the year, the distracted boyfriend meme, and boy, is this just a perfect piece of social media! Check out Parton’s post below.

This is why the internet was invented, folks! So that one day, Dolly Parton would share this meme and the internet would go crazy for it! Twitter users promptly began freaking out and replying showing Parton with their appreciation for her awesomeness.
