There’s no time like the present to be a fan of Disney. From an incredible lineup of films on the horizon to expansion at parks across the world, there’s something coming soon for everyone.
We’ve seen trailers for Christopher Robin, Incredibles 2, Wreck-It-Ralph 2, and a teaser for Mary Poppins Returns – just to name a few. Those films are at the top of our must-see list but what we’re really excited about are the additions coming to Disney World.
Toy Story Land opens on June 30th, which means we’ll have time to explore the new addition when we visit this fall, but another realm is coming soon that fans won’t get to see until 2019.
A Star Wars addition is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios next fall. It’s expected to be one of the most immersive and interactive spaces in Disney Parks which could easily pave the way for exciting upgrades and new additions elsewhere.
One aspect of the Star Wars addition won’t be open in 2019, however, it will be worth the wait. It was revealed that the hotel accompanying Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will also be interactive and immersive. With rooms having views of space and an overall invitation to totally embrace life on a starship, the possibilities for the resort are endless.
Of course, it will take time to build a resort of that caliber, so fans will have to wait a little longer to book their stay. The hotel is expected to open in 2021 and will be close to the Hollywood Studios expansion.
