Did You Catch New York Mets Pitcher Noah Syndergaard’s Cameo in ‘Game of Thrones’?
Warning: This article is dark and full of spoilers! DO NOT read on if you are not caught up with Season 7 of Game of Thrones!
Game of Thrones was on FIRE on Sunday night! Literally! “The Spoils of War” brought the heat but tucked away under that Lannister armor and dodging dragon dracarys fire left and right, a familiar face was lurking in the background. On Sunday night, Game of Thrones had its second obscure cameo of the season however, this one seemed to fit a little bit better than Ed Sheeran’s out of place serenade.
Keen-eyed Major League Baseball fans who were watching extra closely during the epic battle at the end of the episode may have noticed New York Mets ace starting pitch Noah Syndergaard donning Lannister army garb and making a critical kill. Syndergaard hasn’t been on the baseball mound since April when a torn lat muscle sidelined him for a 60-day stretch.
Even a torn lat couldn’t keep him out of the battle for Westeros. When the episode aired on Sunday, Syndergaard, clearly stoked about his appearance, posted the following to his Twitter followers:
Take that you mean Dothraki #shottotheheart #andyouretoblamehttps://t.co/3ZERpVDwvm

When fans commented about how the Lannisters got roasted (literally), Syndergaard had the perfect response, of course defending his livelihood:
To my sides defense….they had a FRICKEN DRAGON!!! 🔥🔥🔥

What did you think of Sunday night’s Game of Thrones episode? Did you notice Noah Syndergaard in the background?
