Welcome, witches! We’re taking all we can get when it comes to Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, whether it’s behind the scenes looks or cover art, and now it’s come to our attention that the series is officially on Twitter!
Series showrunner Roberto-Aguirre-Sacasa, who has quickly become our social media go to when it comes to Sabrina scoop, announced the news. Borrowing Riverdale’s, aka Sabrina’s sister series’, catchphrase he wrote: Something wicked this way comes…. The @sabrinanetflix account is up and running. Getting closer….this is going to be a wild ride. Get onboard! The tweet also features a splice of some of Greendale’s spooky finest including Salem’s eyes. Check that out below!

The account features the minimalist drawing of Sabrina from the recently released poster as the profile picture with a bio that reads “welcome, witches.”

The series, which was originally meant to be a Riverdale companion on The CW, was felt to be a better fit for Netflix where it received a straight to series two-season order. While Sabrina is a character that a lot of people are familiar with, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will tell a much darker version than what fans are used to. The series will take us into the supernatural town of Greendale as a Sabrina struggles to balance being both a high schooler and a teenage witch.
In addition to Shipka, the series also stars Ross Lynch as Harvey Finkle, Lucy Davis as Aunt Hilda, Miranda Otto as Aunt Zelda, Jaz Sinclair as Sabrina’s friend Rosalind Walker, and Tati Gabrielle as her rival Prudence.
While there is currently no premiere date on the calendar yet, the Riverdale panel at San Diego Comic-Con may offer some insight or footage. If not, be sure to go follow The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Twitter account and check back to Fan Fest for all of your witchy coverage!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
