We are already two episodes in to the sixth season of Arrow, where the primary focus so far has been one thing – family. Following the destruction of Lian Yu and all the tragedy that snowballed afterwards, Oliver is finding himself struggling to be a single father.
Well, it looks like Oliver won’t be the only single parent in Star City – Donna Smoak is headed back to town!
In a recent report by TV Line, it was stated that Charlotte Ross will be reprising her role as Felicity’s mother, Donna Smoak, in an upcoming episode this season. As it stands, no details have been released in regards to what her role will be bringing to the show this season, but the news of her return is exciting nonetheless.
Her return could present some incredible help and positive insight for Team Arrow. Donna was, after all, a single mother when she raised Felicity. Perhaps she could give Oliver some guidance (and maybe some babysitting) when it comes to being a single parent in William’s life. I mean, Oliver could really use all of the help and support that he could get right now. Also, her return could present some positive vibes for Quentin Lance.
Their relationship withered on the vine after Season 4, and Lance went through several layers of depression. As he struggles with Black Siren’s existence and his actions on Lian Yu, Donna could offer some significant care and support.
Arrow will return on Thursday, October 26th at 9PM/EST on The CW.
