I think I speak for any and all One Tree Hill fans that this is 100% the BEST pop culture Christmas present of 2018. Titled  ‘Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunionthe one-hour special will feature Burton, Ackles, and Tanner, in addition to Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller on the series) who will make a special musical appearance in The Christmas Contract and Stephen Colletti (Chase Adams on the series) who will appear in another Lifetime Christmas movie this year titled Hometown Christmas. The Network also promised “a few surprise special guests.” Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Haley James Scott throughout the entire series will also be starring in a Lifetime Christmas movie called Poinsettas For Christmas, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if she popped up on the reunion as well.

The CW

The Christmas Contract will be written by Cassie Doyle and directed by Monika Mitchell. The official synopsis for the film reads:

It’s Jolie’s (Burton) first time going back home to Louisiana since her devastating break up with Foster (Hunter Burke). Seeing him is inevitable as their parents run the town’s annual Christmas Market together, but when she discovers Foster is bringing home a new girlfriend, Jolie cannot bear the thought of going home alone and seeing them together. Her best friend Naomi (Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring her flaky brother, Jack (Buckley), home for Christmas as he has no plans this year. Jolie, a professional web designer, is hesitant; so, Naomi, a lawyer, creates a Christmas contract to give them both something they want—a buffer for those awkward moments around Jolie’s ex and a website to help sell Jack’s upcoming novel. Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract proves to be so much more than what they signed up for.

Warner Bros.

One Tree Hill ran on The WB/CW for nine seasons from 2003-2012. Set in the small town of Tree Hill, NC the show initially began as a series about two estranged half-brothers who are thrown into a world of rivalry, kinship, and drama when they both end up on the school basketball team. Throughout its unprecedented run, the series eventually jumped forward in time to follow the core characters as they entered the professional world post-college and the trials and tribulations of figuring out their futures.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn't be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own "Pepperwood Chronicles'.
