Marc Maron & Bryan Callen Cast in ‘Joker’ Origin Movie

It’s looking good for the Joker origin movie’s cast, as it’s taking more shape by the day. Tod Phillips’ Joker has two new members to add to the, still small, list of the cast.

Earlier in the last month, there was a rumor that Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz was considered to join the small cast of Joker. We didn’t hear anything about that, however, a few days ago we heard a rumor that Marc Maron could join the cast of Joker. It was confirmed by the man himself when he published his WTF Podcast to his YouTube page. Before he went further into the podcast, he made a special announcement.

“It’s true people, I’ve been added to the cast of the new Joker movie, being directed by Todd Phillips. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro. Two of the greatest actors that have ever graced the screen. And I know some of you given my recent discussions about the slow corruption of our culture and arts by the consolidation of desire around the limited options of big budget blockbuster movies in the form of superhero movies are probably kind of thinking ‘well look at this. Big talker! Look at this guy! He’s a hypocrite, he’s a this or that.”

We are ecstatic for this movie, and we can’t wait to let them start the production in September so that we can get a first glimpse of the new Joker origin movie we’ve been waiting for so long.

“I’m doing the Joker. I was offered a part. That’ll be fun, but I think it’s only a couple days. Play an aging dancer, stripper. I don’t want to go into the details. I can’t go into the details, but just know it’s gonna be good.”

There’s another familiar face joining the cast of Joker and it’s going to be Bryan Callen. Same like Marc Maron, Bruan Callen revealed he is going to be in the movie in his The Fighter & The Kid Podcast.

Lots of excitement for this movie when more cast members got announced in the last few days. We still don’t know how many more people will join, but with Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro as actors, it can’t go wrong. Of course, portraying the Joker is one of the most challenging things there is as people will have the most critical view of such a popular character. I do have a little bit of faith in what Warner Bros. is doing now for their future films.

Production will start in September, and we can expect the movie hit the theater on October 4, 2019.
