Miss ‘Stranger Things’? Be sure to Check out Netflix Series ‘Dark’!
Are you already missing Stranger Things and counting down the days until the Season 3 release? Well, we may have found something for you to fill that void! Today, Netflix has revealed the official trailer and key art for their first German original series Dark, which will premiere on the streaming service December 1.
The disappearance of two young children in a German town brings light to the fractured relationships, double lives and past of four families living there
Dark is set in the German small-town of Winden in present day, where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. Dark will contain 10 hour-long episodes, and the story takes on a supernatural twist that ties back to the same town in 1986, opening abysses that turn the concept of time on its head. The question is not who has kidnapped the children… but when.
Written by Jantje Friese and directed Baran bo Odar, Dark is a chilling mystery-drama-series. It is said to be a ‘family drama with a supernatural twist’.
“We had absolute creative freedom,” said Baran Bo Odar. “We could cast whoever we wanted, the actors who fit best for the role. Netflix gave us a budget and a couple of notes and let us do it.”
