‘Friends From College’ Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix
It’s a tough time to be a new Netflix original these days (unless you’re Ozark or GLOW apparently) as the streaming giant has been purging and axing shows from their catalog left and right. Both Girlboss and Gypsy were canceled after just one season and Sesns8 was recently given the boot too. So, many were surprised to hear that Friends From College, the half hour dramedy about an elitist group of college graduates totally failing at adulting, was renewed for a second season.
Friends From College wasn’t met with the best critical reviews and currently holds a 24% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it must have managed to find a way to connect with viewers. While the messy and intertwined lives of these characters often came off as unlikable, the stories were pretty relatable at times, the humor was sharp and witty, and it had some great performances by Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Fred Savage, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Jae Suh Park and Billy Eichner.
No other details have been released about the second season but I think we can expect to see a Summer 2018 release date for the gang. Did you watch the first season of Friends From College? If not, the entire first season is streaming on Netflix. Check out the trailer below!

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
