April is getting more interesting by the day, now that the new year is in sight it’s getting closer to the release of a movie I’ve been waiting for a very long time. The Shazam star himself took to Instagram and shared a fabulous new poster with the fans.
The tagline reading: “The new poster for Shazam is herrre! Aaannd, there’s a new trailer coming in the new year.” ending with a winky-face emoji. Of course, it sounds obvious we’ll be getting a new trailer for Shazam ‘in the new year,’ but this made it seem that the trailer is closer than we think. Might there be a chance that we’re getting a surprise jump for this trailer soon? We’ll find out soon enough!
The Shazam cast is all sorts of incredible and includes actors like Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Ron Cephas Jones, Asher Angel, Cooper Andrews, Jack Dylan Grazer, and many more. The film will be directed by no one other than David F. Sandberg.
Not only did we get a new Shazam poster this week, but we also got a brand new comic book on comic book day! Read all about Shazam! #1 in our recent Pull-List.
Shazam! will hit the theaters on April 5, 2019. Are you ready?
“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
