Your First Look into Once Upon A Time at Emma’s Stunning Wedding Dress
Fans of Once Upon A Time have been cordially invited to a wedding and it’s been a long time coming. The series, now in its sixth season, takes place in Storybrook Maine with various fairytale characters living in the seaside town. From Captain Hook to Belle and Snow White to Prince Charming and the Wicked Witch of the West – there’s a favorite character for everyone who tunes in.
Two overall favorites, Hook and Emma Swan have a love story to end all love stories. From the moment their paths crossed; it was clear that destiny had a hand in bringing them together and no force has been successful in tearing them apart. Through trials and triumphs, love and loss, and that whole Hook being sent to the Underworld thing (that was hard to watch) – the pair have never truly let one another go. So the wedding of the year – and a lifetime – is finally taking place.
However, the episode can’t be all sunshine and happiness. Unfortunately, that’s just not in the cards for those characters (at least, not yet). The wedding and their own little happily ever after will not come without conflict as Emma approaches what’s said to be her certain death. Her bravery and love for those around her are the driving forces behind her strength and the fear that exists isn’t going to win.
Edward Kitsis says this about the trouble looming over the big day. “Emma knows the Final Battle is in front of her, but she, in this moment, is brave and is not going to let the troubles of whatever they’re dealing with get in the way of her happiness. She’s truly following her mother’s advice to live her life.”
Kitsis goes on to say: “In our minds, the Final Battle is probably not what you think it is. Like any good battle, sometimes it’s not a battle in the literal sense of a fight.”
Adap Horowitz, EP, adds: “It is a battle, it is different than the ones we’ve seen before, and it is very personal to Emma.”
While fans have to wait to see what form of the battle exists for Emma, they did get a sneak peek of her dress and it is stunning. The episode, a musical, will be beautiful but there’s nothing like that first look of the bride at a wedding that brings us all to tears.
