‘Young Sheldon’ Recap “A Dog, A Squirrel, And A Fish Named Fish”

We all know that Sheldon doesn’t do nature well. Animals are no exception. The neighbor’s new dog got loose and wanders into the garage where Sheldon is playing with gravity. Sheldon, afraid, loses his voice and hides from the dog.
In the middle of the night, Bucky, the dog, breaks into the Cooper house, scares Sheldon and gifts them with a squirrel. Meemaw talks to Brenda about the dog. They get into a physical argument that doesn’t stop at throwing margaritas.
Sheldon decides to combat his phobia with research. He watches Scooby Doo, looks at puppies through a window and even asks the vet if he can pet a dog that’s under anesthesia. Sheldon then asks the Pastor for advice about the situation. When nothing pans out, Sheldon armors up to pet Bucky. He succeeds but gets licked in the process.
“Call 911!”- Sheldon.
It turns out Bucky likes Sheldon because he uses the same hair gel as his previous owner. Mary, George, Meemaw, and Georgie discuss possibly getting a small pet to help Sheldon get used to animals. Meemaw decides to get him a fish. He names him Fish. Needless to say Fish doesn’t last very long in the house.
That dog is the absolute cutest and I’m super proud of Sheldon for trying to combat his fears.
