You Can Now Dance and Jive With ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ on HBO NOW

If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again yet, you’re in luck as the film is officially streaming on HBO NOW! So, do yourself a favor and call your friends and three dads over for an Abba-inspired movie night this weekend. The sequel to the 2008 movie musical starring Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Cher and the rest of the gang is an utter delight and full of all the same spirit and fun the first one embodied, if not more.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again finds Seyfried’s character, Sophie, pregnant and feeling more connected to her mother’s story than ever before. The movie takes place both in the present with Brosnan, Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, and Dominic Cooper all reprising their roles from the first film as well as in the past where Lily James plays a young Donna Sheridan who meets the younger versions of Sam, Bill, and Harry along her journey to opening that iconic Kalakari inn.
The film, which currently holds a certified fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 81%, earned over $120 million at the US box office and danced its way to over $394 million worldwide. Despite there being a decade long break between the two films, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again managed to steal the hearts of audiences once more.
