The wait is almost over! Nintendo has finally announced, via their official Twitter, the release date for Yoshi’s Crafted World on the Nintendo Switch.
— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) January 9, 2019
Yoshi’s Crafted World takes place entirely in a world comprised of boxes, paper, cups and various other household items. You’ll take on the role of Yoshi who – along with a bit of help from his friends – must fight his way through a variety of unique levels as you search for the gems lost by Kamek and Baby Bowser. Just when you think you’ve seen all a level has to offer you can then flip the level and proceed to run through it backwards, revealing new secrets and paths.
Nintendo has never been one to take their franchises too seriously and has long been considered an innovator in the platforming field and this release continues Nintendo’s trend of innovation.
Fans have waited patiently for a release date for nearly a year since the game was initially announced. The last Yoshi game, Yoshi’s Woolly World (2015) and its 3DS iteration Poochy & Yoshi’s Wooly World (2017) were both met with rave reviews from both critics and fans who have been eager to continue their adventures with Yoshi ever since.
Yoshi’s Crafted World looks to be another great addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue and one of the first truly great Nintendo Switch games of 2019!
Will you be purchasing Yoshi’s Crafted World when it is released in March? Let us know in the comments!
