Wonder Woman in Training

It has now been 15 hours
since I saw Batman V Superman: Dawn of
Justice! I am still over the
moon about a lot of things,
particularly how
perfect Wonder Woman was. This week EW showed everyone a look at a younger Wonder
Woman than we
meet in Dawn of Justice. The picture
included three more
incredibly fierce looking Amazons. Diana’s mother,
Queen Hippolyta who is being
played by Connie
Nielsen and two aunts
who are her military heads. Robin Wright
will
be playing General Antiope while Lisa Loven Konsli will
play
Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe.
Comics/EW
Of the costume choices
Director Patty
Jenkins had a few thoughts;
“To me, they shouldn’t be
dressed in armor
like men. It
should be different. It should be authentic and real – and
appealing to
women.”
I think they pulled
off an authentic battle look
that not only looks like something that would
appear in a comic, but also is
real looking. Jenkins defened impractical foot wear on the woman of
Themyscira.
“I, as a woman,
want Wonder Woman to be hot as hell, fight
badass, and look great at the
same time – the same way men want
Superman to have
huge pecs and an impractically big body. That makes them
feel like the hero they
want to
be. And my hero, in my head, has really long legs.”
Wonder Woman
is
set to come out in theaters June
23, 2017, I for one can’t
wait!
Kyle was born and
raised a nerd, as a toddler she
would watch Batman on repeat and we are not
going to say that did something to her brain…but it might
have. These days she
is a TV/Movie junkie with a side of comic obsession. Now that she has found this
incredible outlet to share her nerdy perspective on movies and TV shows she can
stop pestering her
husband and animals with superhero business!
