Who Will Win Johnny vs Amber? It’s Possible They Both Lose

The Depp and Heard trial continues to move forward, with trial scheduled to resume this week. Many people all around the world are paying close attention to the live-streamed spectacle, but others are getting weary of the media hype. Legal experts have spoken out about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case, casting doubt on whether or not it will produce a true winner.

Who Will Win Johnny vs Amber?

Variety spoke with a variety of legal experts, who voiced their perspectives on the Depp and Heard trial. Attorney Jon Katz said he can see the “media spectacle” from his office window in the Fairfax County Courthouse in Virginia. As spectators wait outside of the courthouse to catch a glimpse of Depp, he referred to it as the biggest case he’d ever seen on in his 20-year career.

However, Katz doesn’t want to see either Depp or Amber win. “I want a verdict against both of them,” he stated. Following the live stream, the trial continues to earn a large number of social media interactions. Legal experts aren’t so sure that the law itself will ultimately win in the Depp and Heard defamation case after all of this information was presented in court thus far.

The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case is expected to be a draw, according to legal experts.

According to UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh, the Depp and Heard case isn’t particularly significant in terms of legal matters. The law will not be altered as a result of the defamation lawsuit, according to Volokh, because it is a very “simple” case.

“It seems like a pretty basic libel claim,” Volokh said. “It’s all about the facts. I haven’t seen anything that would actually affect the law.”

The op-ed in question, which was written by Heard, didn’t mention Depp by name, but Depp said that it ruined his career because it was strongly directed at him. However, Davis Wright Termaine LLP attorney Jack Browning isn’t very confident that the trial will help in future celebrity cases.

“Will this case be broadly applicable to clients in the media?” Browning said. “It’s not obvious that it will.”

Mitra Ahouraian, an entertainment lawyer, spoke about whether the Depp and Heard case will have a clear victor. The public spectacle of the trial undoubtedly has an impact on how the two actors are attempting to project themselves in front of both the jury and the public.

“This lawsuit was brought for Johnny to win the court of public opinion,” Ahouraian said. “He’s using the courts as a platform to have his side heard.”

However, she doubts that it will be of much practical use to either side. “Neither side is going to win,” Ahouraian stated.

The hashtag #JusticeForJohnny has continued to trend on social media.

Many spectators appear to have made up their minds about who they believe will win the Depp and Heard case. Regardless of the court’s decision, it’s clear that the public is behind Johnny Depp. The hashtag #JusticeForJohnny remains popular on social media, as well as memes and various video clips from the trial that put Heard in a negative light.

However, the world will have to wait and see how Hollywood’s Depp and Heard defamation lawsuit affects both of their futures in film.
