What we Learned from the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer

The last trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released on Friday and it’s still all we can talk about. Fans of the film are now more excited, and nervous, than ever before. It was emotional, it was intense, and it also gave us a bit of a deeper look into the heart of the story.

From Captain America’s scene with Thanos to Gamora’s opening, discussing the supervillain, here are some stand out moments from the latest trailer.

We see Thanos’ Black Order

For the first time, we see Thanos’ Black Order.  Proxima Midnight, Loki, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian will help the evil villain take on the Avengers. In the trailer we got a massive sneak peek at how that happens. We not only see them standing next to Loki as he watches Thanos begin to squeeze Thor’s head, we see Maw and Doctor Strange in quite a predicament.

Iron Man Meets the Guardians

Star-Lord and Iron Man shared a bit of banter and it’s everything we never knew we needed. Upon learning of Iron Man’s plan, Star-Lord tells him it’s great, but that it ‘totally sucks’ and if Tony would just go along with his plan they could be successful. Spidey is there too and their facial expressions say everything, which makes sense, as all Iron Man can muster up is ‘wow’.

Captain America has Heartwrenching Moment with Thanos

This is one thing we’re still distraught about. However, it’s also one of the most powerful moments in the trailer. Captain America grabs Thanos’ fist and uses all of his power to hold the supervillain off. You see a determination, strength, and power in his eyes as he makes a stand. It’s

Doctor Strange gets Personal

Ebony Maw has a real close moment with Doctor Strange. So close that Maw has the potential to turn him into a weapon rather than a hero. With the power of manipulation, he could easily make Doctor Strange do whatever he pleases, and we wouldn’t put it past him.

Gamora Talks Thanos’ History

The trailer opens with Gamora telling Tony Stark about Thanos. ‘…he only ever had one goal. To wipe out half the universe. If he gets all the Infinity Stones, he can do it with a snap of his fingers.’ While we’ve been hearing more and more about Thanos’ story, it’s different coming from Gamora. She knew a side of him no one else has. We’re just hoping that works out in the favor of the Avengers.
