We’re Getting an Extended Cut for ‘Deadpool 2!’

It’s been marvelous in the Deadpool universe lately. Not only have the best Deadpool 2 cameos been revealed, we found out how much the trailers deceived us. We found out about the secret second role that Ryan Reynolds had in the film. Recently, director David Leitch sat down with Cinemablend, where he announced there is an extended cut coming our way.
“There’s an extended cut. And I think that they may want to spin that out as a special thing. We’re taking our time, and it’s going back to the director cut, and then sort of collaborating with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick, and making sure we’re all getting all the jokes we want – to have it be fun and our sort of fun collaboration.” – David Leitch to Cinemablend
As to what the extended cut may contain, David Leitch teased that there may be more scenes where Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) tries to kill himself after the love of his life gets killed.
“The suicide scene is in there, and there’s a scene in the mansion in the kitchen over breakfast. There’s some extra Domino stuff. There’s a lot of fun little bits, and then a lot of alts! We’re looking for every place we can put an alt.”
