Disney has now released a trailer for their July 8 Marvel adventure Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth movie in the superhero franchise.
“These hands were once used for battle, now they’re used as tools for peace,” says Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
“I need to figure out exactly who I am,” he adds, a long way from the events of Avengers: Endgame, “my superheroing days are over.”
The fourth Thor movie, directed by Oscar winner Taika Waititi, finds the Asgard native on a quest for inner peace. Despite this spiritual, hippie journey, terrible things are happening in the cosmos as Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher rises to power. The Butcher intends to wipe out all gods. With that goes Thor’s retirement.
To combat the danger, Thor asks for the assistance of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi). However, Thor’s ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) appears to be the galaxy’s savior, as she takes control of Mjolnir and transforms into the Mighty Thor in this clip.
The movie was shot in Sydney last year during the pandemic and it looks spectacular!
