Netflix’s Black Mirror returns this June with season 5.
The sci-fi anthology series explores three new stories where a twisted, high-tech near-future where humanity’s greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide. This season seems to tackle how technology affects relationships, self-esteem, fame, virtual reality escapism and mental health.
“Love, privacy, connection, sex, family, work and afterlife” are the words that flash among the clips.
Miley Cyrus is said to be a part of a meta storyline as she plays a performer who has undergone a transformation to raise her fame. The series also stars Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace, Damson Idris, and more.
Netflix hasn’t released titles or episode lengths yet. Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long.
