WATCH: The First 6 Minutes of ‘The Gifted’ Feature Mutants on the Run!

We are just days away from the premiere of Fox’s new Marvel series The Gifted and we’re getting excited!  On Thursday, the network released the first 6 minutes of the pilot episode and it looks amazing.

The clip begins with a high-speed police chase.  The Sentinel Services are trying to track down a fleeing suspect who is racing through the streets and alleyways of a city.  The suspect is actually Clarice Fong (Jamie Chung), who is better known to fans of the comics as Blink.   Blink appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past, however, this is a much younger version of the character. When Blink finally gets cornered by the police, she uses her powers to create a wormhole type of portal which she uses to escape being captured.  The remainder of the video provides a nice insight into the first episode.  Check it out below:

In addition to the first 6 minutes sneak peek, Entertainment Weekly has also revealed some new stunning production photos from the series.  Check out the photos in the gallery below:

The Gifted tells the story of a suburban couple, Reed and Caitlin Strucker (Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker), whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The action-adventure drama, which features characters from the X-Men comic book franchise, comes from 20th Century Fox TV and Marvel TV.  X-Men director Bryan Singer is heading up the series along with Matt Nix as the writer and executive producer.  Singer will also executive produce with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Winberg, Jeph Loeb, and Jim Chory.

In addition to Moyer and Acker, the series also stars Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White play their children, Lauren Strucker and Andy Strucker; Sean Teale plays Eclipse a.k.a. Marcos Diaz; Jamie Chung plays Blink a.k.a. Clarice Fong; Emma Dumont plays Polaris a.k.a. Lorna Dane; Blair Redford plays Thunderbird a.k.a. John Proudstar; and Coby Bell as Jace Turner.

The Gifted will debut this coming Monday, October 2nd at 9 PM on Fox.  Will you be watching?
