Fox has just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming revival of Prison Break and, SPOILER ALERT (though, not really because we’ve already warned you with the article title and it’s revealed right below in the trailer), MICHAEL SCOFIELD LIVES!!
In the below trailer, Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) is miraculously alive with a new set of meticulously detailed tattoos, however, he has found himself, once again, locked away behind bars. The new teaser features familiar faces such as Scofield’s brother Lincoln Burrows (played by Dominic Purcell), love interest Sara Tancredi (played by Sarah Wayne Calles) and former Fox River inmates Sucre, C-Note and T-Bag. The new trailer is jam-packed with action, excitement and that awesome vibe of television greatness which radiated from season 1 of the series.
This event, however, will be a little different. While the storylines of past seasons took their time and focused intricately on Scofield and Burrows busting out of prison, executive producer Paul T. Scheuring said at the Television Critics Association’s press tour:
“This is a very tight, close-ended story, and it’s just constant thriller cliffhanger revelation one after another. It just feels very dense, and [it’s] a story that’s not disingenuous. Sometimes in the old model… you felt I’m flapping my wings a little bit here.”
So, we can expect the revival run to be lots of action with very little filler thrown in. We CANNOT wait for this to air! Prison Break will return to Fox on April 4, 2017.
In the meantime, check out the explosive trailer below and, as always, let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
