Every once in a while, we get a perfect piece of viral greatness out of long time Jeopardy host Alex Trebek.
Monday’s episode of the show included a first round category called, “Let’s Rap, Kids!” Trebek, who has hosted the game show since 1984, “rapped” out lyrics to chart-topping tunes including Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” and Kanye West’s “Famous” and the contestants had to guess the song title.
A clip of Trebek’s rapping was shared on Twitter by social media producer and Sports Illustrated writer Kenny Ducey. The clip had received over 20,000 retweets as of Tuesday morning, giving it official viral status.
Check out Trebek’s mad skillz below. When the category was completed, Trebek told the contestants and audience: “I was just getting into this rap thing. I’m not too good at it but I was getting into it.”
