Watch Jason Momoa Dive Off a Cliff While Teasing the Upcoming ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Debut

Aquaman star Jason Momoa is 100% ready to make a huge splash tomorrow at San Diego Comic-Con when Warner Bros. and DC will finally be dropping the highly-anticipated first official trailer.

Momoa took to social media today to tease the upcoming trailer debut in a way that only he could pull off. Momoa filmed a video, selfie style, of himself on top of an oceanside cliff talking briefly about the upcoming film. At the end of the clip, he takes a giant leap off the extremely high cliff into the blue ocean below, with his phone in hand!

Check out the clip below, and make sure you watch closely for the adorable sea turtles that make a cameo appearance towards the end:

After his first appearance in 2016’s Batman V. Superman and later on in DC’s Justice League, Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry (aka. Aquaman, half-human, half-Atlantean and King of the Seven Seas, ruler of Atlantis). The film also stars Amber Heard (as Mera), Patrick Wilson (as the villainous Orm/Ocean Master), Temuera Morrison (as Tom Curry), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (as Black Manta), Nicole Kidman (as Queen Atlanna), Dolph Lundgren (as King Nereus) and Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe (as Nuidis Vulko).

Aquaman is directed by James Wan, best known for his work on The Conjuring and Insidious films. This is Wan’s first dip into the superhero world. He also directed Furious 7 which ended up being the top grossing film of the Fast and Furious franchise. Peter Safran is producing along with Zack and Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

The trailer will be released during San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Aquaman will officially splash down into theaters on December 21, 2018.
