WATCH: Intense Trailer for Stephen and Robbie Amell’s Upcoming ‘Code 8’ Film

There are five things I love more than anything else in this world. The Army, My Family, My Dog, Being and Author, and finally, the world of film. For those of you who have read my articles about films in the past, you’ve heard me compare the world of film to an artistic masterpiece. Every single piece of a film project is essential to the success of the project. From the Production Assistant (PA) to the Lead Actor, the Transportation Coordinator (TC) to the Director. Every one on the set is a key factor in the progression of the film. The same thing applies to a work of art. Every brush, every color, every canvas. In the end, you have a gorgeous masterpiece.

Ever since diving into the art of film myself, and co-owning my own Production Company, I have gotten a gigantic appreciation for the art of film. Especially Independent Film Makers. That being said, I am highly looking forward to Stephen and Robbie Amell’s upcoming Code 8 film.

I have been a long-time fan of the Amell dynamic duo, and I felt as though I have seen the two of them grow as actors through their various performances over the years. They truly made their respective marks on the DC Universe, and their character portrayals have made a huge impact on all of our lives. Needless to say Oliver Queen and Ronnie Raymond are characters we will never forget thanks to these two. Absolutely Phenomenal. It shows how dedicated they were to their characters, especially Stephen, who portrayed the vigilante for 8 Seasons on the CW hit series ‘Arrow’, that kickstarted the Arrowverse.

Although we said goodbye to Robbie’s character in The Flash years ago, and we are sadly witnessing the final episodes of Stephen Amell’s performance as Oliver Queen, we can take joy in the fact that they are debuting something pretty cool and exciting; Code 8!

Directed by Jeff Chan, Code 8 takes place in a world where 4% of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities.

“Instead of being billionaire superheroes, most ‘specials’ live in poverty and resort to crime, forcing the police to become more militarized,” the synopsis said. “The story follows a young man with special powers struggling to find work as a day laborer. After a dispute over payment, he finds himself in a confrontation with a police officer and the autonomous robots backing him up.”

Here at Fan Fest, we have anxiously (and excitedly) been awaiting the release date of this film; and now it is drawing closer. A recent poster that was released depicts select cities where the film will appear in theaters, and their social media pages mention that the film will be on demand on the release date as well.
