On Monday, NBC dropped the first official trailer for the fall revival of Will & Grace and we honestly couldn’t be more pumped for its return!
The trailer is a blend of reality and the show’s universe. The five and a half minute long trailer could double as a mini-webisode beginning with Will and Grace (or is it Eric McCormack and Debra Messing?) walking out of the office of Bob Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment. They are discussing returning to do the show and, while Will is estatic to be back “taking the old peacock for another ride,” Grace declares she’s not doing the show because she’s not feeling it.
Will takes her back to the old Will & Grace set and uncovers their old table where they used to sit and chat. He takes a dust cover off of their sofa to reveal Karen who had apparently been there for 10 years taking a “disco nap.” Jack bursts through the apartment door, showing “the unit” to a potential renter (and potential new boyfriend?). Will enlists the help of Jack and Karen who, together, use the power of song in order to convince Grace to return.
Coming Thursdays, this fall, Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally return for a limited 12-episode run along with Will & Grace creators/executive producers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan as well as director/executive producer James Burrows are all returning as well.
The new episodes are expected to pick up the characters’ stories 10 years later, after the 2006 series finale. Below, check out the full length official trailer for the new Will & Grace series returning to NBC This fall.
