WATCH: ‘Arrow’ Season 8 Trailer ‘Sacrifice’

As October 15th draws closer, it gets harder to contain how pumped up I truly am for the upcoming 8th Season of the CW’s hit TV Series, Arrow. Although this year will be the last season for my favorite television series, my heartbreak has turned into unfiltered joy and excitement.

Recently, the CW dropped an extended trailer for the upcoming season, and in it I was beyond excited to see that several of our favorites would be returning to screen. Beginning with Tommy Merlyn and ending with the voice of Moira Queen, I found it hard to contain my goosebumps! Given how much time, effort and dedication that is being put into this upcoming Crossover episode, this season is ramping up to be perhaps the best one yet.

In the wake of discovering what his future holds, Oliver will find himself pit against his most challenging battle yet, one that will leave the multiverse hanging in the balance. In Arrow’s final season, Oliver Queen is forced to confront the reality of what it means to be a hero.

One thing that both fans and cast members are anxiously awaiting, is the arrival of the Season 8 premiere episode. As I mentioned earlier, considering the line-up they have on the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ crossover episode, we can certainly expect amazing things for this entire season. In a recent interview with TV Guide, Show Runner Beth Schwartz talked about the upcoming Season, and what we can expect from these final 10 episodes.

In addition to incredible guests appearances and a gigantic, surprising character death, Beth Schwartz talked about how there will be gigantic callbacks to Season One, especially in the premiere episode.

We have a lot of callbacks to Season 1 early on in, well, especially in the premiere. The premiere is very much like a love letter to the pilot, and it was so much fun to write. And the actors had a lot of fun as well. There’s going to be a lot of that through the season.”

Send in the easter eggs, CW! The CW-verse has done an incredible jobs with all their shows across the board and bringing back some old characters in addition to solving some of the more ‘mysterious’ questions we wondered about in the very beginning a couple seasons after the fact. We can only wonder what twists are in store for this season!

Arrow’s final season premieres Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9PM/EST on The CW in an episode titled ‘Starling City’.
