WandaVision: Paul Bettany Addresses His Future as Vision… Will Vision Return?

WandaVision‘s finale Marvel fans with a lot of questions.  All of the rumors of mega-cameos in the final episode turned out to be false.  The series became about Wanda’s transformation to the Scarlet Witch and leaves us hanging in regards to several characters. One such character is Paul Bettany’s Vision. Will we see Vision again? Will was see Wanda and Vision reunited? If it’s up to Bettany, then we know the answer.

WandaVision’s biggest twist (other than Agatha All Along) was that Vision could only exist within The Hex.  He was a creation of Wanda and not actually Vision’s body reanimated.  But where was Vision’s real body? It was successfully reanimated by S.W.O.R.D. in spectral white and was repurposed as a weapon.  In fact, we’re like 100% sure that an arc reactor now powers Vision. In one of the show’s best moments, the white Vision’s memories were unlocked by the Hex Vision and opened up, or maybe even transferred, a greater understanding of Wanda’s grief.  And then… the new Vision flew away and disappeared.

Will we see Vision again? Bettany certainly seems to think so.  And, given the characters new found massive popularity, it would serve Marvel well to bring him back.  Plus, why pour so much into Vision with a new series only to not utilize the character in the future?

Bettany was asked whether he’d play the role “forever” in an interview with Esquire and said:

“I love Vision. Yes, I’m in.”

The biggest rumor in the MCU (other than the two more Spideys) is that Wanda is going to be the antagonist in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Given that film’s focus on magic with Doctor Strange, this certainly seems likely.  Is Wanda poised to make another attempt at bringing back her version of Vision? Or, will the new Vision reunite with Wanda?

There are a lot of questions unanswered but WandaVision certainly has us hooked into this next phase in the MCU!

What are your thoughts on the future of the characters? Let us know in the comments below!
