Something evil is looming as The Walking Dead approaches its midseason finale this coming Sunday. The episode, which is titled “Evolution”, looks to be one of the show’s most chilling yet as Aaron, Daryl and Jesus journey into the talking-walker woods to find a missing Eugene. In addition to that, AMC has released some new images from the episode that preview the many reunions happening over at Hilltop. Based on what we know so far, there have been some major fractures between the different communities over the past six years, resulting in many of them not seeing each other for some time. Now, a lot of major players are in one place, so, hopefully, we get some good interactions and some answers. Check out the photos below!
The six-year time jump has apparently given The Walking Dead the perfect opportunity to introduce some younger characters:
Meet, Joe Ando-Hirsh as Rodney, Kelley Mack as Addy and Jackson Pace as Gage:
Plus, now that Henry is also at Hilltop, it looks like he will be making some new friends who love to lurk around at night just like him.
Carol brought Henry to the Hilltop in the first place because he had expressed an interest in becoming a blacksmith:
Which looks to be Alden’s trade of choice now:
In addition to Carol, Daryl, and Henry, Michonne and Siddiq have made it to Hilltop as well:
Where the new characters are probably hoping to receive a warmer welcome than they did at Alexandria:
Michonne learned last episode that Maggie had left Hilltop at some point over the past six years and Jesus was in charge now:
Which means that something really serious had to have gone down over the past few years to result in such communication barriers:
Tara has taken over leadership duties once more for a reluctant Jesus while he is out searching for Eugene:
Will she let Magna’s group stay?
She should because they are actually really cool:
Hilltop is all about that close community life:
But Carol doesn’t plan on staying long though:
Spotted – broody teenager:
We can’t be the only ones who want some backstory on this new (and handsome) Alexandrian named DJ:
Meanwhile, it looks like Father Gabriel will be Negan’s chat of the week:
And Eugene’s rescue mission seems to have some terrifying revelations based on Aaron’s face here:
Could it be those TALKING walkers?
Be sure to tune into The Walking Dead’s midseason finale this Sunday at 9/8c!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
