Today, Variety brings the news that Vikings star Katheryn Winnick has joined the cast in a mystery role. Katheryn is the latest to join a growing The Dark Tower cast; a movie adapted from Stephen King’s best-selling series. She will be joining a cast that includes actors Idris Elba, Tom Taylor and Matthew McConaughey. I am a huge fan of Katheryn’s, and I have no doubt that whether she will be casted as a hero or a villain, she will be amazing.
Idris Elba will be starring in the role of the Gunslinger, Roland Deschain. Matthew McConaughey is taking on the villainous role of the Man in Black. It was also revealed that Tom Taylor will be playing the role of Jake Chambers, a boy from the real world who joins the Gunslinger on his quest.
The Dark Tower is being directed by Nikolaj Arcel and opens in theaters on February 17, 2017.
