A truly fun experience!

‘Vikings’: Jonathan Rhys Meyers As Bishop Heahmund

Less than a month away fellow Viking fans and our favorite heathens are back! We are looking forward to seeing how the addition of Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Bishop Heahmund will complicate Ivar’s (Alex Høgh Andersen) obsession with power. Heahmund appeared in the season 4 finale and left viewers excited for what was to come in season 5.

In the clip below, Meyers is clearly leading in their war against Ivar and his Viking warriors. He seems less tolerant of the Vikings compared to King Ecbert, who in his own odd way clearly valued his friendship with King Ragnar Lothbrok. He prays for their success in defeating their enemies, “Let them suffer at our hands. Slaughter them in battle.” He is out for blood and seems like the perfect adversary for Ivar.

This season has all our favorite characters fighting their own battles. Whether it is to find themselves like Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) or to be King/Queen like Ivar and Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), this season is sure to have us all on a fabulous and brutal rollercoaster!

Check out the latest trailers below and see who will rise above them all starting November 29 at 9 p.m. on History.
