We are not sure if the news was released prematurely. It seems that the posts Winnick posted have since been removed.

What was seen before the posts were removed was the date of their potential appearance. Save the Date… Friday, July 21, 2017!!

Friday is a big day for San Diego Comic Con. It is usually the day that television networks have their panels. In the past years, panels such as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones have all been on Friday. In 2015, Star Wars also had their panel in Hall H to promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens ending with a concert on the beach and fireworks for the fans.

SDCC usually does not release their panel schedules until 2 week prior to the event. Everything is usually kept ‘hush hush’ until then. Rumors may fly which sparks speculation but nothing is official until SDCC’s schedule comes out.

This does lead me to believe that Winnick must have jumped the gun a bit but the news still got out so just in case, I would still save that date if you plan on seeing their panel.

Once again, ‘official’ panel information including date, time and scheduled panel guest will be announce closer to the event.
