Venom: Let There Be Carnage Could Be Delayed Again! Covid Ruins Everything!

Covid-19 has been pretty much ruining all our loves for over a year now. We’re not talking just about the entertainment industry either, but it certainly doesn’t help that movies keep getting delayed. Now a report from THR is suggesting that Venom: Let There Be Carnage could be delayed again. This is all because of the rise in numbers with the Delta variant for Covid-19.

This makes sense obviously. The last thing Sony wants is to release their movie when not many people can go see it. It wouldn’t make sense to try and pack movie theatres if they’re shutting down again. Or if people simply don’t want to go to the movies. There’s no perfect solution, as we’ve learned from the recent lawsuit between Scarlett Johansson and Disney.

Here’s what THR said in their report that has Venom fans worried:

“Sony was next, relocating sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage, starring Tom Hardy, from Sept. 24 to Oct. 15, and then, on Aug. 16, selling off Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania, which had been set to hit theaters Oct. 1, to Amazon in a windfall $100 million-plus deal. Regarding Venom, there’s buzz that it could move yet again. Either way, Sony has secured some breathing room.”

There’s another problem with Venom: Let There Carnage being delayed that involves the MCU‘s next Spidey film. Sony has already hinted that there are plans to tie the two universes together. This will be easier than ever since Loki borked the multiverse. The problem is that it was hinted that Spider-Man: No Way Home would bring the universes together, that there is some sort of plan already in place.

If Venom: Let There Be Carnage is delayed will Marvel and Disney have to delay Spider-Man: No Way Home? That would suck, considering all the awesome rumors swirling around the release of the next Spider-Man film. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see where all these movies land. It’s growing increasingly concerning as release dates loom ever closer.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage could be delayed again… but we hope it isn’t!
