Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been released, leaving viewers with a perplexing ending.

*Warning – spoilers ahead!*

Eventually Scott Lang and his family triumphantly emerge from the Quantum Realm, yet before he can make it back to Earth through a portal Kang tempts him into engaging in an individual battle.

The Avenger’s plan ironically fails, but with some strategic reasoning, Scott was able to stun Kang by utilizing the strange energy radiating from his Time Chair. Whether or not this shockwave annihilated him is uncertain; however, it has been theorized that he may have instead been dragged into the time stream rather than killed instantly.

After coming back to the beloved Earth, Ant-Man resumes his regular life. He orders a Baskin Robbins cake for Cassie’s birthday and meets up with family at an ice restaurant. Despite that, Scott Lang is still overwhelmed by what happened to Kang just like viewers are too.

Someone sent him to the Quantum Realm in order for him to perish, but what if he is still alive? Did the MCU truly make a wise decision by ending Kang’s reign of terror? These are all questions that will have to be pondered and potentially addressed in future movies. After this movie ends, two incredible post-credits stingers offer hints toward these inquiries – providing fans with an exciting taste of what could come next!

Kang The Conqueror’s introduction in the final scene of Loki has instantaneously catapulted him into the limelight. And now, with how things ended in Quantumania, it is clear that Kang will play a major role for Marvel Studios going forward. Although Ant-Man may have successfully prevented this version of the time traveling tyrant from succeeding, as warned by Loki’s Trickster there are infinite more ready to fill his place and wreak havoc. So get prepared Marvel fans because you’ve just gotten a glimpse at what Kang can do – Scott Lang might very well have disturbed an entire bee hive!
