Ubisoft Releases Trailer for Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
It was sneakily announced in the days before the release of Ubisoft’s latest Assassin’s Creed title, Odyssey, that those who purchased the DLC would also receive the HD remake of Assassin’s Creed III. Things have been a bit quite on that front, but now, Ubisoft has released a trailer for the remastered game and have given it a release date. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One March 29, 2019, while the game will also see a release for the Nintendo Switch May 21, 2019.
III follows Ratonhnhaké:ton, aka Connor, as he unravels the truth of the Templar Order during the Revolutionary War. This puts him right in the thick of the fighting, yet he continues to push forward, despite the warnings to stay away. This will ultimately put a target on his back as he interferes in the war. III also features the final chapter in the story of Desmond Miles.
The trailer shows some of the what the game will look like, including side-by-side comparisons with the original 2012 release. Remastered will feature the main story, as well as all the solo DLC and the standalone story Liberation. Liberation takes place in 18th century New Orleans during the French and Indian War. The story features the first female assassin, Aveline de Grandpré.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be available as an add-on to Odyssey, as well as a standalone game.
