Tyler Hoechlin to Return for Arrowverse Crossover Event And He’s Bringing a Friend

It was announced that Tyler Hoechlin would reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman for the 2018 Arrowverse crossover event, appearing in all three episodes. He won’t be alone, however, as Lois Lane has been confirmed to be joining him, marking her introduction to The CW Arrowverse.

Hoechlin was last seen in the Season 2 finale of Supergirl in which he fought head-to-head against Kara while being mind-controlled by the Daxamites. The chemistry between Hoechlin and Melissa Benoist (Kara) is electric, so it will be exciting for the two of them to share the screen once more. Lois has been mentioned several times throughout the run of Supergirl, but this is the first time she will be a part of the series. Casting for the role will begin soon.

The crossover event is shaping up to be a must-see as Superman and Lois will be accompanied by the first appearance of Kate Kane, aka Batwoman. Ruby Rose was announced as Batwoman a few weeks ago, and the crossover is potentially going to set up a series of her very own. A Batwoman show is in development, but there are currently no other details.

The 2018 Arrowverse crossover event kicks off Sunday, December 9, with The Flash, then continues Monday, December 10, with Arrow, finally closing out with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. Legends of Tomorrow will not be a part of this years’ event.

All four Arrowverse shows return to the CW starting the week of October 14th.
