Twitter Users Had a Field Day With the New 280-Character Limit

Yesterday afternoon Twitter rolled out their new 280 character limit to all users in nearly all languages with the exception of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. The popular social media platform gained its popularity through its concept of forced brevity, which made users express their thoughts in 140 characters or less, so the change is sure to upset some users and delight others.

Naturally, the people of Twitter had a blast roasting the popular feature and taking over everyone’s timelines with their unnecessary 280 character tweets.

A bunch of celebrities and entertainment accounts got in on it. 

There were, of course, plenty of hilarious tweets poking fun at the new limit as well.
