The first trailer for Keanu Reeves based sci-fi thriller Replicas has arrived and boy does it deliver.
The film stars Reeves as well as Thomas Middleditch and Alice Eve.
The description below the video states the following:
In this sci-fi thriller, neuro-scientist William Foster (Keanu Reeves) is on the verge of successfully transferring human consciousness into a computer when his family is tragically killed in a car crash. Desperate to resurrect them, William recruits fellow scientist Ed Whittle (Thomas Middleditch) to help him secretly clone their bodies and create replicas. But he soon faces a “Sophie’s choice” when it turns out that they can only bring three of the four family members back to life.
The trailer premiered during New York Comic Con, where director Jeffery Nachmanoff added,
“There are some moral questions, some ethics questions about bringing someone back. You always have a price to pay when you fool around with mother nature.”
While on his panel, Reeves told fans that a third John Wick movie will most likely begin filming in early 2018. It’s due out in May of 2019.
The film was shot in Puerto Rico, and Reeves helmed an effort along with NYCC to raise funds for the recently destroyed island.
“I’d never been to Puerto Rico before. We really did feel like everyone was all for one and let’s do it,” he added of the production, especially the local crew.”
