Our condolences and sympathies go out to The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon and his family. Fallon’s mother, Gloria, who had been sick for some time, sadly passed away on Saturday.
Fallon had canceled tapings for his late night talk show on Friday so he could be by his mother’s side during this difficult time. A spokesperson for Fallon said in a statement on Saturday:
“Jimmy Fallon’s mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday. Jimmy was at his mother’s bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time.”
In order to allow time for Fallon to grieve and spend time with his family and loved ones, NBC announced on Sunday that tapings of The Tonight Show would be canceled for the remainder of the upcoming week as well. A spokesperson for the network released the following statement”
“On behalf of everyone at NBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Jimmy and all his family at this time of enormous loss. “Our hearts go out to Jimmy and everyone else whose lives were so touched by Gloria Fallon’s love, kindness and support.”
